Finding joy in resting in Christ, walking at his pace, and operating as our true selves.
Emotionally Healthy Discipleship literally can transform one's relationship with God, others, and their church. We have seen the impact of people recognizing unhealthy patterns of the world, families, and culture, and finding joy in resting in Christ, walking at his pace, and operating as our true selves. The premise of the discipleship program is rooted in this phrase "Emotional health and spiritual maturity cannot be separated."
There are a series of books, workbooks, devotionals, small group study guides, and videos. We cannot recommend this content enough. Our team has gone through the material at least four times in the past seven years.
The first place to start is to go to their website, take their emotional maturity test, and then follow their prompts. Or pick up the first book in the program, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, along with the study guide and EHS "day by day" devotional.
The second part of the program is called Emotionally Healthy Relationships and is a workbook and devotional The videos are paramount as a guide through the material!
There is a third part which is a book called The Emotionally Healthy Leader. The author, Pete Scazerro, also has an encouraging podcast called "The Emotionally Healthy Leader."
We’re so glad you’re here! We believe that effective missionary work is holistic, addressing the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of all involved. How can Healthy Missions support you as you seek to bring God's love and grace to the world?
